This policy explains how the European Centre for Career Education processes your personal data when you use our website, apply to a program, or contact us. We are committed to handling your data lawfully, transparently and only for the purposes described here.

- Application data — your name, contact details, country of residence, date of birth, university, the program and package you choose, your CV, letter of motivation, and any information you include in your application.
- Contact data — details you provide when you email us or use a form on this site.
- Payment data — information needed to process tuition and deposits (handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card details).
- Technical data — device, browser and approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you use the site.
3. How and why we use your data
We process your data to:
- assess and administer your application and, if admitted, deliver the program and arrange your internship placement (performance of a contract);
- respond to your enquiries (legitimate interest);
- send you updates, deadlines and event news, where you have opted in (consent);
- meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations (legal obligation);
- improve and secure our website (legitimate interest).
4. Who we share it with
We share your data only as needed to run our programs: with partner companies for internship placement, with service providers who host our systems and process payments, and with our customer-relationship and email tools. We do not sell your personal data. Where a provider processes data on our behalf, they do so under a data-processing agreement.
5. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations. Application data for unsuccessful or withdrawn applications is retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised.
7. How we protect it
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time.
